Full Service Interior Design

CJI’s signature interior design process is a comprehensive and all-encompassing approach to designing and transforming interior spaces. It goes beyond providing just the basics, offering clients a complete and tailored experience from initial consultation to the final installation. 

A typical full-service interior design project often includes components of the following: 

  • New construction projects, wherein we partner with clients and their contractor to establish a clear vision and execute it within established budgetary and time constraints

  • Remodels/renovations, which often include moving walls or reconfiguring spaces, in partnership with your architect or our proposed professionals

  • Custom kitchen and bath design

  • Selection of architectural details and finishes

  • Selection of wall treatments, soft furnishings and decor (2-3 room minimum)

Two-Hour Studio Session

$550

Book a two-hour session — either in-home or at the CJI Studio — for advice on any of your ongoing projects. Bring your plans, inspiration, any previously-selected finishes, and we will help you with decision-making and action plans during the course of the session.

The Design Process

  • Submit your project inquiry form on our website. After that, CJI will reach out to schedule a complimentary 20-minute discovery call to learn more details about your project and explain how we may be able to assist.

  • If we determine that CJI is a good fit for your project, we will schedule an in-person, paid consultation. During that consultation, we dig deeper into scope and get to know your needs for the project and dreams for the spaces. We will discuss not only aesthetics, but also functional requirements. Based on that consultation, CJI creates a proposal for the project, including an approximate budget for the project and a flat-fee (based on scope) for the design services. If you would like to move forward with CJI, you will receive a client agreement with a comprehensive scope of work + an invoice, to officially confirm your spot on our design calendar.

  • The fun begins! This is when CJI works closely with you to gather and organize inspiration, engage in schematic space planning, and refine the initial design concepts for each space. We will take the time to really understand your design style, lifestyle, and goals for your home.

  • This is when we turn our schematic ideas into functional design plans. We work on the design and selection of all relevant materials. For construction projects this includes elements such as flooring, wall coverings, counters, hardware, lighting, plumbing, and other finishes. For furnishing projects this includes upholstery, rugs, casegoods, window treatments, lighting, wallpaper, accessories, and art. This phase concludes with a comprehensive design presentation, which includes CAD drawings, material/textile samples and often times 3-D, photorealistic renderings.

  • Throughout construction, we attend job site meetings to review design decisions, placement, and material installations. We work as a team with the builder/contractors to resolve any issues that arise during construction and ensure the design is executed as planned.

  • Leave the logistics to us. Once the furnishing design is approved, CJI will send purchase orders to our vendors and closely track delivery details. We inspect each product as it arrives to our Receiving Warehouse, and handle any claims necessary to fix damages. We keep you updated on any delays, completed shipments, and other issues. During this stage we also work directly with our vetted trade partners to set up necessary appointments like painting, wallpaper installation, window treatment installation, and lighting installation.

  • We coordinate the installation of all of your new furnishing items with our movers and delivery team and set up your new space(s)! We place your furniture, rugs, install lighting, style shelving, hang your artwork and add the finishing touches to make your new space picture-perfect.

  • Our commitment doesn't end with installation. We offer post-installation support to address any queries or adjustments, ensuring your satisfaction with the final result. Your happiness is our priority, and we are dedicated to maintaining the longevity and functionality of your newly designed space.
